The challenge
Wilcox worked with FRAMM + Slokker on the Brightwater development project in Port Credit (south-central Mississauga). Brightwater is a substantial mixed-use development covering 72 acres on the shores of Lake Ontario.
The Brightwater development includes multiple commercial spaces for retailers. Our door installations needed to be completed in phases based on each retailer’s interior build schedule.
Phase one of the project needed to be completed within tight timelines and short installation windows.
One of the overhead doors we sourced and installed was 13 m x 5 m (43’ x 16’). This was one of the largest rolling steel doors Wilcox has ever installed.
The solution
For the Brightwater development, Wilcox sourced and installed multiple doors and door systems:
- Three insulated rolling steel overhead doors
- Four Cornell rolling steel UL/ULC fire-rated overhead doors
- Three Hörmann high-performance, rubber parking door systems
- Two Richards-Wilcox insulated sectional dock overhead doors
